Hi, I'm Lorie.
If we've never met before, welcome. I'm so glad you've stopped by my front porch. Before you explore my books, I'd love to share a little of the heart behind the stories.
Every story begins long before the first chapter.
For many years, my life was devoted to education. I had the privilege of teaching, mentoring, and even founding a private school. Those years shaped my heart and taught me that every person carries a story worth hearing.
Today, that same love for encouraging others has found a new home in my writing. Through my novels, Morning Chats with Lorie, and From the Desk of a Writer, my hope is to create a place where readers can pause, breathe, and be reminded that faith, hope, and God's love are never out of reach.
I believe the best stories are the ones that stay with us long after we've turned the last page. The ones that remind us hope is never wasted, grace is always possible, and ordinary people can experience extraordinary moments through God's faithfulness.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, sipping a glass of sweet tea on the porch, watching a beautiful sunset, or dreaming about the next story waiting to be told.
My greatest hope is that every time you visit this little corner of the internet, you'll leave feeling welcomed, encouraged, inspired, and reminded that hope truly does live here.
